A grieving woman returning to her condemned childhood home must survive until sunrise when her old toy turns sadistic ringmaster, unleashing puppets that embody her buried traumas.
After her mother’s funeral, 30-year-old Chloe holes up for one last night in the condemned house that forged her childhood nightmares. When her once-beloved toy, Max Mole, springs to life and summons five grotesque puppet-creatures—physical echoes of abuse, shame, fear, and rage—Chloe is sealed inside with the worst parts of herself. Armed only with improvised weapons and raw determination, she has until dawn to either bury her trauma for good or transform it into power. A contained, one-location creature feature in the vein of Coraline meets Evil Dead 2, Chloe vs the Night Monsters pairs practical-effects spectacle with an intimate study of trauma’s lingering bite.
